Filtered Truth

All of our truths are filtered truths. Some are grounded in more concrete, scientific [for now!] laws, and others are a result of culture, beliefs, values, norms, and religion. How hard do you hold on to your truths? It's a very delicate shift from white knuckles to bloody ones.

Some roguish conversation questions:

  1. Is filtered truth a good thing or a limiting thing?
  2. What are we afraid of that is keeping us from evolving spiritually? Or is evolving spiritually taking away from absolute truth?
  3. Does God have many voices or just one on earth?
  4. Are the filters we all have necessary to our connection to God or are they inhibiting a greater experience of God?
  5. What part of our spiritual path does intuition play?

PASSION 2024

  • It felt like an Amway event. 50,000+ young adults! Get out there and evangelize! Everyone ends up with a bullseye on their back.
  • Christian exclusivity is a filtered truth.
  • Introduction
  • Passion 2024
  • They are the future of the church! What is that going to look like?
  • There are alternative ways to interpret the “Only way” passages of scripture.
  • What is the “Good News” of an evolved Christianity?
  • The future “Christian” may be defined as one “On the way of The Way of Jesus of Nazareth.”
  • Truth. It’s not about denying it because it makes us feel uncomfortable.

Is There Universal Truth? Unthinkable!

  • How has religion screwed up the planet and the human race? Is it intentional manipulation of the masses or just misguided adherence to mythology?
  • What does your heart tell you vs your mind?
  • Innies and outies/dualistic thinking
  • If it’s irrefutable, it’s domineering.
  • Eastern theosis. Let our divinity evolve.
  • Saved from what? God? What kind of God is that?
  • Knucklehead Truth vs Discerned Truth
  • Does religion evolve?
