Project 2025

How to use wise discernment when evaluating new information, particularly during an election year is the focus of this episode.

***“Heritage’s mission is to formulate and promote public policies based on the principles of free enterprise, limited government, individual freedom, traditional American values, and a strong national defense.”***

- The Heritage Foundation is once again facilitating this work. But as our dozens of partners and hundreds of authors will attest, this book is the work of the entire conservative movement. As such, the authors express consensus recommendations already forged, especially along four broad fronts that will decide America’s future.

-Restore the family as the centerpiece of American life and protect our children.

-Dismantle the administrative state and return ***self-governance*** to the American people.

-Defend our nation’s sovereignty, borders, and bounty against global threats.

-Secure our God-given individual rights to live freely—what our Constitution calls “the Blessings of Liberty.

“Democrats are “apoplectic right now” because the right is winning”, Roberts told former U.S. Rep. Dave Brat, one of the podcast’s guest hosts as Bannon is serving a four-month prison term. “And so I come full circle on this response and just want to encourage you with some substance that we are in the process of the second American Revolution, which will remain bloodless if the left allows it to be.”

Intro

- Hi, I’m Mac, your host. In this episode, we’re missing the Rev, but Stu and I are going to address the issues of false information in general and specifically as it applies to the election cycle and Project 2025, and encourage you to apply wise discernment to whatever you read and pass on.

- Have heard about it but don’t care

- Support it fully or in part

- Denounce it fully or in part

Summary

There’s nothing novel here. Heritage has long-published these hefty “Mandate for Leadership” volumes, hoping to shape Republican policy. Progressive think tanks do the same thing. These are wonky, wishful laundry lists that serve more as vision boards than checklists for governing. And it’s business as usual.

As for the specifics of Project 2025? There’s a good chance that it doesn’t say what you think it does. For instance, one graphic that’s been widely circulated lists 31 policies supposedly found in Project 2025.
