Speaker A:

You want some of that, right?

Speaker A:

Hello out there.

Speaker A:

You want some of that?

Speaker B:

So many people are going around looking for that place, that thin place that some people call it, to find God.

Speaker B:

I want to go find the light, the love, what it is.

Speaker B:

And it's happening in ordinary moments, in ordinary people.

Speaker B:

It's happening in your backyard.

Speaker B:

It's happening at the dinner table.

Speaker B:

It's happening at the grocery store, at the gas station, on the wrestling match.

Speaker B:

It's happening everywhere.

Speaker B:

But those are ordinary moments.

Speaker B:

And we don't look for the extraordinary in the ordinary.

Speaker B:

And that's what a mystic does.

Speaker B:

Extraordinary seeing, feeling and experiencing things that nobody else is seeing, but they're catching it.

Speaker C:

That's a taste of into The Mystic, Part 2, this week's episode of the Wise Guys, a podcast that unleashes the unthinkable in culture, religion, and everyday life.

Speaker C:

Mac, the Mad Monk himself leads the conversation.

Speaker C:

He's a visionary outlaw, cosmic questioner, and so certified heretic with a holy grudge against the status quo.

Speaker C:

So strap in, shatter the norm, and see if you will let Mac and his guys, the Rev and Coach Stu, take you to a place of thinking differently.

Speaker A:

All right.

Speaker A:

Hi.

Speaker A:

I'm your host, Mac, the Mad Monk.

Speaker A:

See this?

Speaker A:

I come.

Speaker A:

I come in character.

Speaker D:

Oh, my.

Speaker A:

Tonight, now that I'm the Mad Monk.

Speaker D:

The Mad Monk.

Speaker A:

Welcome to the Wise Guys.

Speaker A:

But I have news for you.

Speaker A:

This isn't a podcast.

Speaker A:

It's a spiritual brawl in the alley behind your soul.

Speaker A:

We're not here to soothe.

Speaker A:

We're here to shatter outdated dogmas, sanctified nonsense, and the soft, sleepy stories we've been told about who we are and what this life is supposed to mean.

Speaker A:

That's a lot.

Speaker A:

That.

Speaker A:

That's.

Speaker A:

That's full.

Speaker A:

And of course, if you are watching this on YouTube, you see that I'm.

Speaker A:

I'm in character here now.

Speaker A:

All right, so the big question, of course, comes to all of you.

Speaker A:

Do you want some of that?

Speaker D:

Yeah, of course.

Speaker A:

I know my guys do.

Speaker A:

Okay, so with me are the Wise Guys my co conspirators.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker A:

I got the Rev here.

Speaker B:

It's so nice to see you, your holiness.

Speaker D:

Yes, it is.

Speaker A:

There's going to be a blessing and some confession here after the.

Speaker A:

After the podcast episode.

Speaker B:

Put the guts on the table.

Speaker A:

Yep.

Speaker A:

And so we got the Rev, who mystically rebukes the norm and shoves it off the cliff.

Speaker A:

I like that, man.

Speaker A:

And of course, then we got Coach Stew.

Speaker A:

Hey.

Speaker A:

With his Stew isms.

Speaker A:

Yeah, right.

Speaker A:

Who preaches love over glitter.

Speaker D:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

And they Drag the truth, kicking and screaming together into the spotlight.

Speaker D:

I love that.

Speaker A:

Together they rip open the bloated belly of tradition and root through the guts for something raw, real and revolutionary.

Speaker B:

You are on fire, brother.

Speaker D:

So mad Monk is in the house trapping everybody.

Speaker A:

Cuz we are about ready to rip loose here.

Speaker A:

All right, guys, so I got my wise guys.

Speaker A:

I'm so happy.

Speaker B:

Good to see you.

Speaker A:

That we get to do this.

Speaker D:

Good to see you, Ma.

Speaker A:

Yes, yes, yes.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker A:

All right.

Speaker A:

My.

Speaker A:

My sons, my children here.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker D:

Hey, let me say hello to all of you beautiful, exotic cocktails out there.

Speaker D:

Hello, hello.

Speaker D:

Good to have you here.

Speaker A:

Yes, thanks for listening.

Speaker A:

We're glad you're with us.

Speaker A:

And let's see, when we do.

Speaker A:

What are we gonna do?

Speaker A:

Words to the wise.

Speaker D:

Oh, yeah, yeah, I'm ready.

Speaker B:

That's right.

Speaker D:

That's right.

Speaker A:

So here we go.

Speaker A:

Words to the wise.

Speaker A:

And this fits right in with our episode, by the way.

Speaker A:

We are talking about mysticism and mystery and mystics.

Speaker B:

This is part two.

Speaker B:

If you haven't heard part one, go back and listen to last week.

Speaker A:

Part two.

Speaker A:

All right, so words to the wise.

Speaker A:

Wisdom and deep intelligence require an honest appreciation of mystery.

Speaker A:

An appreciation of mystery.

Speaker B:

What do you think about that?

Speaker B:

You know, I'm reflecting on the quote.

Speaker B:

I don't know who said it, but those that think they know don't know.

Speaker B:

And those that don't know are the ones that really know.

Speaker B:

Those that are willing to get into the unknown, the mysteries are the ones that really have the hand or in their mind around wisdom.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker A:

Well, here's the thing that I think anyway.

Speaker A:

I mean, this is my opinion, because you sure can't quantify it and pin it down.

Speaker A:

But I think there's a lot more mystery out there than known.

Speaker B:

You know, we live in a 96% universe.

Speaker B:

We know about 4% universe.

Speaker B:

There's 4% of the world that we understand and know.

Speaker B:

The rest of it can't be measured.

Speaker B:

Just dark matter.

Speaker B:

It's the unknown and it's so rich.

Speaker B:

I call that 96% God.

Speaker A:

Oh, the mystery.

Speaker D:

I like that.

Speaker A:

There we go.

Speaker D:

So, Mac and Rev, you know that I like to say that we have to get comfortable with being uncomfortable.

Speaker D:

We also have to get comfortable with not having all the answers.

Speaker A:

There you go.

Speaker A:

That's for sure, man.

Speaker D:

As her growth happens, will happen.

Speaker A:

Yes.

Speaker A:

Yeah, you gotta abandon yourself to these.

Speaker A:

What do we.

Speaker A:

What do we say?

Speaker A:

Absolute certainties, right?

Speaker D:

Yes.

Speaker A:

Okay, so you go in with an expectation of a.

Speaker A:

And guess what you're gonna get.

Speaker A:

You're gonna get A if you kind of just.

Speaker A:

That's what you expect and that's what you're gonna hold to.

Speaker A:

And that's gonna be the deal.

Speaker A:

You don't even have a chance to experience B through Z, you know, or.

Speaker B:

When B comes, you miss it.

Speaker B:

B's there, C's there.

Speaker B:

But you have no idea how to handle it because you're stuck in A.

Speaker A:

That's right.

Speaker A:

That' trying to get you off a.

Speaker B:

Get.

Speaker B:

Get.

Speaker B:

Get off your A.

Speaker D:

Get off your A.

Speaker A:

That's a meme.

Speaker A:

There's a meme right there.

Speaker A:

Thanks, Rev.

Speaker A:

Here we go.

Speaker D:

What is the Rev doing?

Speaker B:

Pushing us off the cliff?

Speaker A:

Is that something like that?

Speaker A:

Pushing it off the cliff?

Speaker B:

I'm going right with you, though.

Speaker B:

Let's jump together.

Speaker A:

So very cool.

Speaker A:

All right, so I love that.

Speaker A:

So we, last week we were.

Speaker A:

We said, this is part two, right?

Speaker D:

Yes.

Speaker A:

And so last week, you know, we started off and we kind of went into this thing.

Speaker A:

We mysticism as much as we can.

Speaker A:

I mean, you know, some commonalities there, gave a few quotes.

Speaker A:

Then we went and said, well, why would you want to apply, you know, mysticism to your life or be a mystic in some way?

Speaker A:

And we talked about some of the highlights there and how it could make a difference in your life.

Speaker A:

So again, we're giving you the headings here, but we're not going to jump into all the bullet points again.

Speaker A:

Listen to last week.

Speaker A:

But that's how we sort of ended last session, the part one, right?

Speaker A:

We talked about those couple of highlighted topics.

Speaker A:

And now this week as part two, we're going to really just talk about the mystic.

Speaker A:

What might a mystic look like?

Speaker A:

What might they act like?

Speaker A:

What might they do?

Speaker A:

How might they feel?

Speaker A:

And really, we're trying to get you guys out there to see you might be one, right?

Speaker A:

You might have to come to that aha moment to say, I remember when we were doing the study, the book study, long ago, one of the people in the group when we were going over what is a mystic, right?

Speaker A:

And that person goes, wait a minute, I think I are one.

Speaker D:

It's that realization.

Speaker A:

It's that aha moment, right?

Speaker A:

So we're hoping that you can get to that point where you can really realize that that certainly is you and can be you.

Speaker A:

So let's just launch it off.

Speaker D:

All right?

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker A:

How about it, guys?

Speaker A:

The mystic.

Speaker D:

The mystic is not afraid of the mystery.

Speaker A:

Oh, there we are.

Speaker D:

Yep, yep.

Speaker D:

See, a mystic trust that what is unseen may still be unfolding.

Speaker D:

Oh, right.

Speaker B:

That's What?

Speaker D:

That's a mystic, right?

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker D:

Let's cut you off there, Rev.

Speaker B:

Go on.

Speaker B:

No, that was good.

Speaker B:

Much more profound than my answer is, you don't you need a period or an exclamation point at the end of that sentence?

Speaker A:

Oh, yeah, yeah.

Speaker B:

The mystic is.

Speaker B:

Oh, that's it.

Speaker D:

Oh, I like that.

Speaker A:

I am being.

Speaker B:

I am presence.

Speaker B:

I.

Speaker B:

I am the is.

Speaker B:

I am.

Speaker D:

That's good.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

And you, you know, so.

Speaker A:

So if you make that statement, you.

Speaker A:

You also kind of have.

Speaker A:

I would go in there and go.

Speaker A:

And I'm good with that, and I enjoy it and I love it, and it's fun and it's scary and it's.

Speaker A:

I mean, right.

Speaker A:

You know, the minute you.

Speaker A:

You press into this whole thing.

Speaker A:

So not only are we not afraid of the mystery, but let's flip fear and go.

Speaker A:

We embrace the mystery.

Speaker D:

Yes.

Speaker A:

It is what it is.

Speaker A:

So.

Speaker A:

So I think that's really where we're going with this to really get you to see.

Speaker A:

It's not about knowing everything.

Speaker A:

It's about opening yourself up to experience everything.

Speaker D:

And for this not to be scary, not like this shouldn't be something that you're in fear of.

Speaker D:

Like, it's an adventure.

Speaker A:

Yeah, there you go.

Speaker D:

Right?

Speaker A:

Exactly.

Speaker D:

Like anybody.

Speaker D:

Anybody that knows me knows I love adventure movies.

Speaker D:

Right.

Speaker D:

I mean, think about, like, all the Indiana Jones mov.

Speaker A:

Huh?

Speaker D:

Yeah.

Speaker D:

Right.

Speaker D:

I mean, that's like adventure.

Speaker D:

Like, he doesn't always know what's going to happen.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

May the fifth.

Speaker A:

We just went through that.

Speaker D:

May the fourth.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

May the fourth be with you.

Speaker A:

So.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

And again, these are.

Speaker A:

We don't want these to be your litmus.

Speaker A:

Oh.

Speaker A:

If I don't get this, then that must mean I'm not a mystic.

Speaker A:

Oh, I.

Speaker A:

That didn't fit for me or I haven't experienced that.

Speaker A:

No, don't.

Speaker A:

Don't start to get.

Speaker A:

Gauge any of these things as important or you're in the club or you're not if you don't experience all of them.

Speaker A:

We're just trying to give you some highlights of what you can experience if you really want to go down this path.

Speaker B:

And it's the tip of the iceberg, you know, presence.

Speaker B:

Your presence is different than my presence.

Speaker B:

And we're going to experience the ultimate presence differently.

Speaker B:

So these are just road signs pointing you in the direction.

Speaker B:

You've got to discover it and feel it for yourself.

Speaker A:

Oh, totally agree.

Speaker A:

And this is why we love doing what we do, because we can bring three perspectives together and as we interact, just like the reb just said there are different paths that each of us go down, and we get to share those journeys and those adventures with each other.

Speaker D:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

So go find you some people.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker A:

That's one encouragement.

Speaker B:

But it can be a real scary place because, you know, back to that original question.

Speaker B:

The mystic is beyond thought, beyond feeling, beyond story, beyond experience.

Speaker B:

And some of us don't know how to define ourselves without those things.

Speaker A:

Right?

Speaker B:

I am what I think.

Speaker B:

No, you're not.

Speaker B:

The mystic says, I'm not what I think, not what I'm feeling.

Speaker B:

I'm not what happened to me 10 minutes ago.

Speaker B:

I am more always living into the.

Speaker A:

Moreness that may give you a headache.

Speaker A:

Okay, right there.

Speaker A:

As Stu would say, a lot of times.

Speaker A:

Okay, I can't.

Speaker A:

Okay, but think about that.

Speaker A:

Replay that.

Speaker A:

Because that's so true.

Speaker A:

All right?

Speaker A:

It's so true.

Speaker A:

But a mystic experiences transformation, and I think that's one of the really grounding things about a mystic or mysticism or the mystery is that you're transformed through it and in it, and as you are it.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker A:

As the Rev was saying.

Speaker A:

And you also develop some resilient adaptation.

Speaker A:

And I think the species that adapts is more likely to survive than the strongest or the, you know, the fiercest or whatever.

Speaker B:

I like to say that there's two types of spirituality on the planet.

Speaker B:

One is transformational.

Speaker B:

The other is translational.

Speaker B:

Translational is I will be at peace.

Speaker B:

I will be at harmony when things change out here.

Speaker B:

That's a translational spirituality.

Speaker B:

My prayers, my meditations are all about changing the reality out here.

Speaker B:

Transformation is.

Speaker B:

Nothing has to change out here.

Speaker B:

I have to transform on the inside now.

Speaker B:

I'm experiencing this differently.

Speaker B:

That's a huge difference.

Speaker B:

Those who are wanting to change reality on the outside are forever focused on the outside.

Speaker B:

It's translational.

Speaker B:

It's suffering.

Speaker B:

Those who are changing, no matter what's going on, whether it be good or suffering, those are the people that experience heaven on earth.

Speaker B:

I believe.

Speaker D:

I love this.

Speaker A:

I think that'll preach.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

Yeah, Yeah.

Speaker D:

I don't know if we're allowed.

Speaker B:

You've got the monk outfit on.

Speaker B:

I guess so.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

My son, that will preach well to.

Speaker D:

Continue down my path.

Speaker D:

My path of adventure, huh?

Speaker D:

Right?

Speaker A:

Yes.

Speaker D:

I mean, the way this all happens is by pushing through difficulties.

Speaker A:

Right?

Speaker D:

And so to me, when.

Speaker D:

And I haven't always been this way, I don't want everybody out there to think, like.

Speaker D:

Like, oh, man, I can't be like Stu.

Speaker D:

Like, he's.

Speaker D:

You know, I think.

Speaker A:

Of course we can't okay.

Speaker D:

Well, by pushing through these difficulties, like, to me, that's an adventure where you get to then be transformed.

Speaker D:

If you look at it that way, like, if you push through it.

Speaker D:

So I.

Speaker D:

I've had.

Speaker D:

I've often talked about surfers, right.

Speaker D:

Because I spent that year in Costa Rica surfing.

Speaker D:

And.

Speaker D:

And I learned a lot.

Speaker D:

And they push.

Speaker D:

Like, if you look at what a surfer does.

Speaker D:

Just a quick analogy, and how they transform, they go out beyond the waves so that they can ride the waves in.

Speaker D:

Right.

Speaker D:

So when they're on their board, on the front, swimming out there, waves are coming and crashing on them.

Speaker D:

Right.

Speaker D:

So that's.

Speaker D:

Let's call that a difficulty.

Speaker D:

Boom.

Speaker D:

It's hitting you.

Speaker D:

And any new surfer, they'll turn and try to avoid it, and then the wave crashes and boom, they go roll all the way back to the beach, and then they gotta go back out again and face that same thing.

Speaker D:

But what the surfers do is they grab the front of that board, that wave comes up, and they just dive straight into it.

Speaker D:

And they come out peacefully and easily.

Speaker A:

On the other side.

Speaker D:

Yeah.

Speaker D:

Of that difficulty, that challenge, and then they're out there, ready.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker D:

Now to have an experience where they get to be transformed.

Speaker D:

Coming back in, riding a wave and just.

Speaker D:

And have a blast and having fun.

Speaker D:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

At the same time, this is.

Speaker D:

This can all be fun.

Speaker D:

Like I said, these are adventures.

Speaker B:

They're making friends with the waves.

Speaker B:

So what you're saying is we need to make friends with the difficulties, the trials, the tribulations, the moments that feel scary.

Speaker B:

We make friends with it, dive into it, which is counterintuitive to the human ego that says, I need to run away.

Speaker B:

Those are the guys that are going to tumble.

Speaker B:

And you get on the other side and you own the wave and the wave doesn't own you.

Speaker A:

Well, that's learning to love the dragon.

Speaker A:

That precise.

Speaker A:

Right, There you go.

Speaker A:

The other thing that I think is interesting, and we can use some more analogies here, but you move.

Speaker A:

It's all about perspective.

Speaker A:

You move from the incidental.

Speaker A:

And I think, Rev, just both of these guys who just talking about this without defining it, you move from the incidental, the things, the little things that happened to the providential.

Speaker A:

You're looking for the bigger than you can get mired in all of the little incidental things that happen to all of us every day.

Speaker A:

And if you allow yourself to just stay there.

Speaker A:

I think this is what Reb was talking about earlier then.

Speaker A:

Not much providential are you paying attention to, you know, that stuff that's out there, that only comes into you.

Speaker A:

It's there, it's always there, but it only is realized by you as you sort of shed away some of your own biases and your own self egoic nature and some other kinds of stuff and you get the experience.

Speaker A:

Really cool stuff that's coming from the is.

Speaker B:

You know, the way I'd like to put it is a lot of people are living their life.

Speaker B:

It's circumstantial.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

It's what's happening to me.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker B:

And what you.

Speaker B:

The wave.

Speaker B:

Whether it be the wave or it be the experience in your life, it's relational.

Speaker B:

I'm having a relationship with the experience and not giving the power to the circumstance, but to that which is within me that is having that experience.

Speaker B:

That which is greater.

Speaker B:

Greater is he that is within me than he that is in the world.

Speaker B:

And I think the mystic is living from this place.

Speaker B:

I have a relationship to the divine essence that allows me to make peace with the wave, that allows me to make peace with whatever is happening here.

Speaker B:

I become the master of the wave and not the other way around.

Speaker D:

Oh, I love that.

Speaker D:

So here's how I look at it.

Speaker D:

Okay.

Speaker D:

You ready for this, Mac?

Speaker A:

Probably not.

Speaker D:

Here's the phrase, of course, like nothing is just coincidence.

Speaker A:

Yeah, I believe.

Speaker D:

Right, right.

Speaker D:

I mean, to me, life isn't just like a series of random events, you know, I mean, that's what this is really saying to me.

Speaker D:

And everything is meaningful, correct?

Speaker A:

Yes.

Speaker D:

You know, and if you're not looking at it like that.

Speaker A:

No, that's a perspective, man.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

Because.

Speaker D:

Yeah, I love that way more fun living life that way.

Speaker A:

Yeah, yeah.

Speaker A:

Living on the edge, man.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker A:

But there are, you know.

Speaker A:

Yes.

Speaker A:

We tend to describe all of this in terms of the adventure, the joy, the unknown, the fun.

Speaker A:

And all of that's true.

Speaker A:

And at the same time, as you are transformed, what happens to you?

Speaker A:

What are the things that change in you in that transformation?

Speaker A:

And I think you get a sense of greater discernment.

Speaker A:

You're able to let filter stuff and just all the stuff that comes at us every single day, all the nuances, all the decisions that we need to make.

Speaker A:

Are we going left?

Speaker A:

Are we going right?

Speaker A:

Are we going up?

Speaker A:

Are we going down?

Speaker A:

You know, they come just at us constantly like a fire hose.

Speaker A:

And we, you know, we need better discernment to realize how to navigate them, what to put aside, what to press into.

Speaker A:

And you need a piece with that.

Speaker A:

And a lot of times you can't get it because you're so frantic if you're in the world.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker A:

It just, it's overwhelming now.

Speaker A:

You just can't, you know, if you, if you aren't enlisting this power.

Speaker A:

You used that word just a bit ago, and I think that's a great word.

Speaker A:

The mystic taps the source of power within them.

Speaker A:

That helps you navigate it better with greater discernment, maybe get some poise.

Speaker A:

We talk about spiritual poise all the time, and it.

Speaker A:

Poised perspective.

Speaker A:

I mean, these are ways you can change and people will come to you that you haven't seen in two months, six months, a year, five years.

Speaker A:

And they're going to look at you and go, you're different.

Speaker A:

Whoa.

Speaker A:

All right, what's going on?

Speaker D:

Well, I think, I think the mystic sees the biggest.

Speaker D:

The bigger picture, you know, and even when there's chaos going on, right?

Speaker D:

Especially when there's chaos going on.

Speaker D:

And what they do is they, they kind of anchor themselves in, in trust rather than like being in fear.

Speaker A:

Right, Right.

Speaker A:

Yeah, That's.

Speaker D:

Which again, makes this, this an adventure to me.

Speaker D:

Like, I'm going to keep going back to that word.

Speaker D:

That's going to be my word for this podcast.

Speaker A:

And you tend to think when you.

Speaker A:

When I think maybe we talk about a mystic, right?

Speaker A:

It's not this person, man, woman or whatever, up on the mountain in a, you know, in.

Speaker A:

In a hut, communing with the universe, communing with God.

Speaker A:

This whole adventure for me is way better when we're doing it together, you know, I mean, find you some of those, I call them red pill people, right?

Speaker A:

You know, find you the mystics.

Speaker A:

They're there, they're around you, I guarantee it.

Speaker A:

And then go on the journey together because you'll add a dimension to the, whatever how many you're talking about.

Speaker A:

And then all of a sudden it goes exponential.

Speaker A:

Isn't it fun?

Speaker A:

We do that right here.

Speaker A:

This is what's so fun about what we do here.

Speaker A:

It goes beyond, again, the touchy, the thing that we can define that.

Speaker A:

Here it is, check, check, check, check, check.

Speaker A:

But in general, you can see, and I think we were talking about in the pre show, see new colors.

Speaker A:

Right?

Speaker A:

What did you say about that?

Speaker A:

It was in the colors.

Speaker B:

You're going to see new colors in different colors, but you're going to see the same colors.

Speaker B:

You're gonna see them differently in deeper place.

Speaker B:

The vibration of purple is now, wow.

Speaker B:

I've never experienced purple like that.

Speaker A:

Wow.

Speaker B:

There's more purple in my life.

Speaker B:

It's not that.

Speaker B:

Oh, now I get to hear See fuchsia and yellow.

Speaker B:

No, no.

Speaker B:

I'm experiencing whatever colors I did yesterday, but in a more profound way.

Speaker A:

Here's what I also think, too.

Speaker A:

When that starts to happen, you're awed.

Speaker A:

You are just awed by what's gonna start to come into your consciousness.

Speaker A:

It's going to start.

Speaker A:

You're going to start feeling it.

Speaker A:

Sounds are going to be clearer.

Speaker A:

You might even hear new ones and different ones than you've heard before.

Speaker A:

Or like the Rev says, you may hear the same old sounds, but they're going to sound differently and apply that to people.

Speaker B:

I'm going to experience you guys differently than I did yesterday because I'm willing to suspend any thought or judgment about you and just go.

Speaker B:

I'm open to the adventure of knowing the coach at a deeper place, of knowing Mac beyond anything I've ever experienced him.

Speaker B:

I get to see a deeper for you.

Speaker B:

I get to be the mystic in me.

Speaker B:

Now beholds the mystic in you.

Speaker A:

Ah, yeah.

Speaker B:

Wow.

Speaker B:

I missed God in Mac yesterday, but I'm not missing it today.

Speaker A:

Well, you can also see the mad monk.

Speaker B:

Yeah, of course.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

That can be part of the equation, too.

Speaker D:

Well, we're hitting all the senses and all of them.

Speaker A:

Right?

Speaker D:

Right.

Speaker A:

So, yeah.

Speaker A:

Feel different vibrations.

Speaker A:

I was talking about that this week, that everything resonates, everything has a vibration.

Speaker A:

Even the chairs we're sitting in.

Speaker D:

Right.

Speaker A:

All everything has a vibration.

Speaker A:

And our bodies think about vibration going through water.

Speaker A:

Yeah, Right.

Speaker A:

You hear it?

Speaker A:

And our bodies are how many percent water?

Speaker A:

I mean, you know, a vast majority of it.

Speaker A:

And so there's a vibration that exists out there.

Speaker A:

And again, if you're not tuned into it and if you don't even notice, if you're not, you haven't cultivated that sense of awareness, you're going to miss it.

Speaker A:

And I think the mystic tries to press into that where they cannot now experience different vibrations.

Speaker D:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

And that changes you.

Speaker A:

It just does.

Speaker A:

I mean, you know, try sound therapy sometimes.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker A:

Sometimes those vibrations are amazing.

Speaker A:

What it'll do for your body.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker A:

And we, you know, we're talking about senses.

Speaker A:

Two said senses.

Speaker A:

You can.

Speaker A:

We call all of us and you guys exotic cocktails.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker A:

We love that term because you are.

Speaker A:

That's right.

Speaker A:

But how about I'm going to call them exotic fragrances.

Speaker B:

Oh, I like that.

Speaker A:

The mystic maybe can get to experience some exotic fragrances.

Speaker D:

I experience this every time I get on a wrestling mat.

Speaker A:

Well, that may not be out there.

Speaker D:

Can relate.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker D:

Or how about a hockey?

Speaker D:

Oh, my gosh.

Speaker A:

Well, you don't used to bring me.

Speaker B:

My secret weapon on the wrestling matches.

Speaker B:

I just don't take a shower for three weeks.

Speaker B:

I'm gonna put you down with my motor.

Speaker A:

Boom.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

Come right at you.

Speaker A:

So again, your senses are going to be heightened and you're going to look around and you go, what is that?

Speaker A:

And you know what?

Speaker A:

It probably isn't going to be dinner.

Speaker A:

It probably isn't going to be the exhaust from the cars.

Speaker A:

It probably isn't going to be all this other kind of stuff that you normally experience.

Speaker A:

You're going to smell something different and you're to going a Severin.

Speaker A:

And I don't really even know what it is.

Speaker A:

Good for you.

Speaker B:

You're gonna smell those chocolate chip cookies in the oven for the first time and it's a little bit sweeter.

Speaker B:

It's beginner's eyes, beginner's nose, beginner's ears, beginners everything, child.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker B:

That's how you get into the kingdom of heaven.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

That's like when I was a kid, I would chunk of cookies.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

Once I learned about what they were.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker A:

I couldn't.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

I knew right away what it was.

Speaker D:

Well, the senses always prompt memories.

Speaker A:

You know, too.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

You're right.

Speaker D:

Any of the senses can do this for you.

Speaker D:

So.

Speaker D:

And I.

Speaker D:

I think what you'll find when that happens is you're gonna see that you've been a mystic your whole life.

Speaker D:

You may not have realized it.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker A:

Yes.

Speaker D:

A memory will pop up and as you're thinking about it, like, wow.

Speaker D:

Like I was like this when I was 12 or I had an experience in high school.

Speaker D:

Whenever it was.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker D:

You know, and it could be anything.

Speaker D:

It could be the sight, the sound, the taste, the touch.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

Anything, the word, the thought, the feeling, the experience.

Speaker D:

Right.

Speaker B:

I've met God before.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

And I didn't.

Speaker B:

I wasn't aware of it.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker D:

And I always encourage people to explore those feelings.

Speaker D:

So sometimes you have it.

Speaker D:

You may see something and then not realize what it is.

Speaker D:

And you.

Speaker D:

And I say explore that.

Speaker D:

Like figure it out.

Speaker D:

Out.

Speaker D:

Because it's probably going to be something exciting or something you need to push through.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker D:

Right.

Speaker B:

It's an adventure.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

You know, I think what we're saying here, in a nutshell that everybody's been saying is this, the mundane, the normal will no longer be the same.

Speaker A:

It won't.

Speaker A:

And then you have.

Speaker A:

On top of that, you have the new experiences that you never had filter through that now you're more aware of.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker A:

And I don't know about me here.

Speaker A:

I'm gonna say this.

Speaker A:

Cause I say it in the beginning.

Speaker A:

You want some of that, right?

Speaker A:

Hello out there.

Speaker A:

You want some of that?

Speaker B:

So many people are going around looking for that place, that thin place that some people call it to find God.

Speaker B:

But those are ordinary, Mom.

Speaker B:

Don't look for the extraordinary in the ordinary.

Speaker B:

And that's what a mystic does.

Speaker B:

Seeing, feeling, and experiencing things that nobody else is seeing, but they're catching it.

Speaker D:

Rev.

Speaker D:

There are no ordinary moments or no ordinary people.

Speaker D:

So I.

Speaker D:

I know we're getting close to, like, break, but I want to share some stewisms about a mystic.

Speaker A:

Here we go.

Speaker A:

Strap in, everybody.

Speaker D:

This is.

Speaker D:

This is.

Speaker D:

Either you.

Speaker D:

You are this and don't realize it.

Speaker A:

It.

Speaker D:

Or this is maybe something to strive to be.

Speaker D:

Okay, so here's one.

Speaker D:

The mystic doesn't resist change, but they're shaped by it.

Speaker D:

So we've been kind of beating around the bush on that one a little bit.

Speaker D:

But that's just another way to look at it.

Speaker D:

Not resisting the change.

Speaker D:

It's kind of like not resisting that wave.

Speaker D:

Let's just dive in, come out on the other side.

Speaker A:

Agreed.

Speaker D:

And learn something new.

Speaker D:

So the mystic learns that.

Speaker D:

That what breaks us can also bless us.

Speaker D:

Oh, another way to look at.

Speaker B:

Back to consciousness.

Speaker D:

Yeah, another way to look at it.

Speaker A:

Consciousness.

Speaker A:

Absolutely right.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker D:

And how about this one?

Speaker D:

A mystic will find meaning not in control, but in surrender.

Speaker A:

There it is.

Speaker A:

Well, that's surrendering in all kinds of different ways.

Speaker A:

And I look at.

Speaker A:

Talk.

Speaker A:

Talk about it as surrendering to the spirit because there's power.

Speaker A:

Is.

Speaker A:

Is the rev.

Speaker B:

I don't mind being called rich.

Speaker D:

Call me wealthy.

Speaker B:

Call me rich.

Speaker A:

Oh, God.

Speaker A:

Every once in a while, it's slim to the tongue.

Speaker D:

You know, there the mad mugs going bad.

Speaker B:

So it's not a far journey.

Speaker A:

So there we are.

Speaker A:

So those are some of the characteristics of a mystic, and you can add a whole lot more to it, too.

Speaker A:

But just sort of.

Speaker A:

Of ponder these things a little bit.

Speaker A:

I'll bet you anything if you go down them again, just like Stu was saying, you're gonna go, I do that.

Speaker A:

I do.

Speaker A:

Oh, wait a minute.

Speaker D:

Or maybe I know somebody.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker D:

That is like that, Right?

Speaker B:

And if you spot it in somebody else, You've got it, too.

Speaker B:

You wouldn't see it if you didn't have it.

Speaker D:

That is a great point.

Speaker A:

Absolutely.

Speaker A:

So on that point, we're gonna take a little break here.

Speaker A:

So with your little drink, wet our.

Speaker B:

Whistle, and the monks gonna go have a little communion.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

Where's.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

So anyway, thanks for listening and we'll be right back.

Speaker A:

Take care.

Speaker C:

Like what you hear so far.

Speaker C:

Now, let's get back to our Wise Guys.

Speaker A:

All right, welcome back to the Wise Guys, and I'm your host, Mack the Mad Monk.

Speaker A:

And we've been talking about mysticism and into the Mystic.

Speaker A:

We played that last week.

Speaker A:

I really love that song.

Speaker A:

So, again, if you haven't listened to part one of this, you ought to go back and listen to it.

Speaker A:

It's a pretty cool song.

Speaker B:

I love my Van Morrison.

Speaker A:

Van Morrison.

Speaker A:

All right.

Speaker A:

Into the Mystic.

Speaker A:

So we talked about some.

Speaker A:

Some things that a mystic is and that we went around and I thought, those are really cool.

Speaker A:

Now we'll take the rest of the episode and let's just talk about.

Speaker A:

Well, okay, if you're leaning in and you're going, you know, this sounds pretty cool.

Speaker A:

And.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

And this.

Speaker A:

And how do I sort of cultiv more in my life?

Speaker A:

I'd like to be more mystical.

Speaker A:

However you want to frame it.

Speaker A:

So what can we do to help us heighten our senses, heighten our spirit to that unknown, to that mystery that we talked about?

Speaker B:

Well, everything you're going to talk about starts with breath.

Speaker B:

Stop, pause, take a breath.

Speaker B:

Breath, which is synonymous to spirit.

Speaker B:

In every religious tradition, every mystical tradition, the breath is where it starts.

Speaker A:

Yes.

Speaker B:

Before I speak, before I think, before I act, let me take that breath and pause.

Speaker A:

And there's a lot of breath work you can do, too, to help you with all of that.

Speaker A:

But in very simplistic terms, you know.

Speaker D:

This is something we do in life, and people don't realize how important it is.

Speaker D:

Just working out this morning.

Speaker D:

I mean, I'm taking some deep breaths to get centered and get myself ready for a big lift.

Speaker D:

Right.

Speaker D:

People do it.

Speaker D:

Maybe they're going to go on stage and they're going to speak.

Speaker D:

What do they do?

Speaker A:

Breathe.

Speaker A:

Big breath.

Speaker A:

Yep.

Speaker D:

They go out there.

Speaker D:

I mean, I can go on and on about sports, but how many breaths you have to take there, right?

Speaker D:

You're anxious, but anything you're doing.

Speaker D:

I mean, look at.

Speaker D:

Look at two people getting married.

Speaker D:

And this isn't a negative thing.

Speaker D:

It's.

Speaker D:

They're about to say, I do.

Speaker B:

They're like, I have to remind so many couples when I marry.

Speaker B:

Let's all take a breath here.

Speaker B:

I can feel the tension, and then everything melts.

Speaker B:

And then we remember that we belong to each other and it's peace again.

Speaker A:

Here's a.

Speaker A:

Here's the thing I love.

Speaker A:

I'm glad you brought that up, Rev, because one of the things that I love about the breath, the wind, the movement of the air is really what we're talking about is you're talking about religious types of analogies.

Speaker A:

It's the spirit, it's the power.

Speaker A:

But the other thing about that I love about it is it's uncontrollable.

Speaker A:

It goes where it will.

Speaker A:

And now we're talking about a real adventure.

Speaker A:

Because now it's not scripted now, it's not exactly what you think is going to happen or whatever, but man are in for a one wild ride.

Speaker A:

If you will tap in to the power of the wind.

Speaker A:

The power of the spirit to me is just, oh, yeah, you want some of that?

Speaker B:

And it's going to be wild, it's going to be adventuresome.

Speaker B:

But what the breath does is it reminds your mind you're not going to die, you're safe.

Speaker B:

It reminds their heart to slow down, you're okay, so that you can actually enjoy the ride, throw your hands up and take a breath and go, wow, I'm not.

Speaker B:

I'm not going to die here.

Speaker B:

This is exciting.

Speaker B:

It becomes an adventure.

Speaker A:

Yes, absolutely.

Speaker D:

Yes, for sure.

Speaker A:

You know, there's some things that you can do.

Speaker A:

We don't want to make this into a checklist.

Speaker A:

At the same time, we want to just give you some.

Speaker A:

Give you some tips for what we've done, what we've seen others do, because again, it is going to take some awareness.

Speaker A:

You're going to have to raise your consciousness.

Speaker A:

You're going to have to get your awareness out there and your antennas up a little bit.

Speaker A:

Bit, right.

Speaker A:

We talk about that all the time.

Speaker D:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

You know, and one of the very common ways that is very effective is contemplation.

Speaker A:

You can call that prayer, you can call it all kind.

Speaker A:

You know, there's all kinds of different things you can call it.

Speaker A:

Hang on a second.

Speaker D:

I'm practicing contemplation.

Speaker A:

Oh, submission.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

You got to submit as well.

Speaker A:

You have to learn a different approach to submission.

Speaker A:

And sometimes that can be like a negative word.

Speaker A:

You know, it's kind of.

Speaker D:

We've made it that way.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker D:

Truly not, but we've made it that way.

Speaker B:

Exactly what are you submitting to?

Speaker B:

That's the real question.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker A:

Ah.

Speaker B:

Do I have to lose to submit?

Speaker B:

Or is submission about turning it over to something greater than I know, than I have that I expect?

Speaker A:

Well, yes.

Speaker B:

It's not.

Speaker B:

It's not losing.

Speaker B:

It's winning.

Speaker B:

When I submit, I become the winner sinner because I'm closer to being a mystic myself.

Speaker A:

Right, right.

Speaker B:

It's not weakness.

Speaker B:

It takes a great deal of strength.

Speaker A:

Well, yes, it's a beautiful word, I think, because what you submit to also is you lay down your ego.

Speaker A:

You know, you lay down some of that stuff that gets in the way of being able to be more mystical or experience more mystical or however you want to describe it.

Speaker A:

Right, but you're going to have to lay some things down.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker A:

We call it dying to self.

Speaker A:

Whatever.

Speaker A:

Different phraseologies.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker A:

Have deeper conversations.

Speaker A:

Stats too.

Speaker A:

There's the stuism right there, man.

Speaker D:

We do this a lot and you know, but.

Speaker A:

But it sounds, you know, we say that a lot, but.

Speaker A:

But what do you guys out there think about when we say something like that?

Speaker A:

You know, what does that mean to you?

Speaker A:

Right?

Speaker A:

What?

Speaker A:

A deeper conversation.

Speaker A:

First of all, you got to have the conversation.

Speaker A:

That's number one.

Speaker A:

Right, but then what kind of conversations do you have?

Speaker B:

Yeah, how's that weather?

Speaker B:

How about those braves?

Speaker B:

And we bring it up because we can't handle the depth of that conversation.

Speaker B:

There's nothing wrong with that if we used it to get a breath and go bank down.

Speaker B:

But I think the world's hungry for more meaningful conversations, things that really impact your life.

Speaker B:

But we're all afraid of them.

Speaker B:

Right, except not at this table.

Speaker A:

Yep.

Speaker A:

Well, that's right.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

And we invite you into that conversation and find your table.

Speaker D:

Well, by sharing, you encourage others and make it okay for them to engage in these conversations.

Speaker D:

Meaning sharing about yourself.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker D:

Being a little vulnerable, a little.

Speaker D:

You know, to me, that's being authentic.

Speaker B:

Humility, vulnerability.

Speaker B:

That's domestic's characteristics.

Speaker A:

Well, I think it's.

Speaker A:

It's that and I think, yes, it's the person that.

Speaker A:

It's a personal relationship that you cultivate that's more than superficial, beneficial.

Speaker A:

That's what we're talking about here.

Speaker A:

But also, I think when we talk about deeper conversations, Use your Brain.

Speaker A:

Make the conversations more.

Speaker A:

I don't want to necessarily use the word philosophical, but bring into the conversations a sense of depth of knowledge, a depth of understanding.

Speaker A:

I'm not saying that I think they're both answers, but at the same time, what are you doing in your life to be able to have.

Speaker A:

I'm going to call it an intelligent conversation.

Speaker A:

Maybe that's not fair, but I think you get the gist of what I like to say.

Speaker B:

Ask questions that invite more questions.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

Make sure that you're not just giving answers, but you're asking questions that you don't have the preconceived idea of what the answer is.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker B:

And then let's just cover it together.

Speaker B:

And you got to find the people that are willing to go that.

Speaker B:

That vulnerable.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker B:

I don't have the answer either.

Speaker B:

What do you think?

Speaker B:

Well, let's try this on for size.

Speaker A:

Sure.

Speaker B:

There might be a greater answer than any one of us knows.

Speaker A:

There's the adventure.

Speaker A:

All right.

Speaker A:

Without a doubt.

Speaker A:

So these deeper conversations that are more than superficial, I'll just leave.

Speaker A:

I guess we'll just leave it at that.

Speaker A:

And you figure it out for yourself.

Speaker D:

Let's say they're authentic, you know, is how I would look at it.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker D:

And for them to be authentic, then you've gotta be a little bit vulnerable.

Speaker A:

Sure.

Speaker D:

And being vulnerable isn't as big of a word, I think is what people hear when they hear it.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker D:

You know, it could just be sharing something that you think or believe.

Speaker A:

Sure.

Speaker B:

I like to even go, I think it's right.

Speaker B:

What do you think?

Speaker B:

What do you believe?

Speaker B:

What do you feel?

Speaker B:

How do you experience, you know, what do you think about love?

Speaker B:

Is one level of question.

Speaker B:

How do you experience love?

Speaker A:

Love at its depth.

Speaker B:

That's a different question.

Speaker B:

That's going to drop the conversation down.

Speaker A:

Oh, yeah.

Speaker B:

And some people will go running away from that.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker B:

But that's a question.

Speaker B:

Yes.

Speaker B:

Let's start with thinking.

Speaker B:

Let's go to feeling.

Speaker B:

And now let's go to the experience, the direct experience of what love is.

Speaker A:

That's peeling back the onion right there, right?

Speaker D:

Oh, yeah.

Speaker A:

So and you know, a mystic, and if you want to press into or you get some specific things that you might want to add on, you know, God's characteristics.

Speaker A:

If you think about God, the spirit.

Speaker A:

Spirit, the wanting.

Speaker A:

I mean, whatever you want to call that, greater power has typical characteristics in almost every religion.

Speaker A:

I think things like life and love and creativity and peace and beauty and wisdom.

Speaker A:

I mean, those are all beautiful characteristics.

Speaker B:

And more Always more.

Speaker B:

In order to do that, God chose to do business as you.

Speaker B:

Those characteristics are in you, but more than you've ever given yourself credit.

Speaker A:

Right?

Speaker A:

That's right.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker B:

There's more of that in the two of you and everybody listening.

Speaker B:

There's more in you of that God essence than you've ever even imagined was possible.

Speaker A:

Right, right.

Speaker B:

The conversation, the vulnerability lets that out.

Speaker B:

Lets God out to pray.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

And I think you have to come to the realization, like Reb's talking about, that's me.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

I am beautiful, I am peaceful, I am creative, I am peace, I am wisdom.

Speaker A:

I mean, when you begin to own this stuff and realize that that's who you are, then guess what's going to happen?

Speaker A:

They're going to manifest themselves in your life.

Speaker D:

There'll be more of it.

Speaker A:

That's right.

Speaker A:

Right, exactly.

Speaker D:

I love the way you named this section, Unleash more God characteristics.

Speaker D:

Right.

Speaker D:

So you're unleashing more of it.

Speaker D:

Right.

Speaker D:

You are all these things.

Speaker D:

But let's like unleash more of it.

Speaker D:

Like, let's unleash more creativity.

Speaker D:

Let me be more creative in any aspect of life.

Speaker D:

This isn't just, you know, I can draw or paint or, you know, play music.

Speaker D:

This is.

Speaker D:

You can be creative in a lot of ways.

Speaker A:

Absolutely, absolutely.

Speaker D:

Let me, you know, unleash more peace.

Speaker D:

I mean, who doesn't need that?

Speaker B:

You know, more love, of course, more joy, more.

Speaker B:

Everything that's holy and sacred is in you.

Speaker B:

Let it go.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker B:

Unleash the unthinkable, as we say.

Speaker D:

Every week I, I shared with, with you all that I'm reading a book on longevity.

Speaker D:

Right.

Speaker D:

People and, and a.

Speaker D:

About people living, you know, beyond 100, et cetera.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker D:

Well, top of the list isn't what you would think.

Speaker D:

It's people being happy, being joyful, laughing, laughing.

Speaker A:

We talked about that earlier, right?

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker D:

So, I mean, let's unleash more of that.

Speaker D:

And you know what these things will be, these God characteristics will be contagious.

Speaker D:

Right.

Speaker A:

That's true.

Speaker D:

Try not to laugh.

Speaker D:

When somebody starts genuinely laughing and they can't stop, try not to do it.

Speaker A:

All right?

Speaker D:

There's no way away.

Speaker D:

You're going to start laughing.

Speaker A:

Well, but this brings up a good point too, that we really, I mean, we maybe we talked around it, but you and cultivating, you know, your mystical essence is contagious.

Speaker A:

And I think that's a great.

Speaker A:

I don't know, it's also permission giving.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

They're having so much fun over there.

Speaker B:

I want some of that, well, you can do, too.

Speaker B:

You have permission to be whacked out, to be crazy, to be a mad monk, to be whatever it is.

Speaker B:

Let's push our preconceived notions of who we are over the cliff.

Speaker B:

Push, you told me.

Speaker B:

I'm accused of doing.

Speaker B:

And let's discover a new way to fly, a new way to be, to laugh, to play, to sing, whatever it.

Speaker A:

May be, to just be you.

Speaker A:

I'm in.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker A:

I'm in.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker A:

When we've talked about already, you know, sort of setting an intention or having an intention prayer, whatever fits for you.

Speaker A:

But it's that quietness.

Speaker A:

It's that quiet, slowing down, contemplative place for you.

Speaker A:

You.

Speaker A:

Whatever that means for you.

Speaker A:

But do it, you know, do it.

Speaker A:

More than zero and.

Speaker D:

Right.

Speaker D:

And I was just going to say it could be anywhere, anytime.

Speaker D:

It could be one second, it could be one hour.

Speaker A:

Just.

Speaker D:

Just do it.

Speaker D:

Do not.

Speaker D:

It doesn't have to be so structured.

Speaker A:

Because you're going to.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

You're going to experience the, you know, the.

Speaker A:

Is in ways that you just couldn't.

Speaker A:

Couldn't until you got into that place, whatever that means.

Speaker A:

All right?

Speaker A:

But the regular old going through life, you're not going to get it.

Speaker A:

All right?

Speaker A:

So practice this kind of stuff.

Speaker A:

How about just where can you find God?

Speaker A:

Everywhere, I'll say that.

Speaker A:

But also, I think a lot of us don't do is get out in nature.

Speaker A:

Just get out there, maybe sitting on your back porch if you live in this city and just have some plants on your, you know, whatever your balcony or whatever, or go on a hike or just walk through the neighborhood or just go put your feet in the grass.

Speaker B:

Get close to the mother, get close to the earth.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker B:

Take off your shoes and put your feet on the Mama Pachamama, as I like to say it, and experience all the things we're talking about, live in the earth.

Speaker B:

And they have for generations.

Speaker B:

And the energy's still there.

Speaker A:

Absolutely, absolutely.

Speaker D:

So my.

Speaker D:

My powerlifting doctor, she's an endocrinologist.

Speaker D:

I just did blood work.

Speaker D:

Right.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker D:

And this is one of the things that she talked about to me.

Speaker D:

She called me up and said, you have got to get outside, you know, in the sun in the middle of the day, because that's the best time to do it.

Speaker D:

Like between 11 and three, she says, just take a lunch walk, you know, and just absorb the sun, you know, and very special.

Speaker D:

And this is like, for me to be a healthier person, you know, how.

Speaker B:

Often do we go out into the sun.

Speaker B:

Unless it's 115 degrees and you just feel so sun.

Speaker B:

What does it feel like to feel sun in every cell of your body?

Speaker B:

That takes a little bit of suspension of the noise in your head to just be present to sun.

Speaker B:

And I'm telling you, it's the new that you're going to experience the sun like you've never experienced it before.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker A:

And other things like you've never experienced.

Speaker B:

See that's the breeze goes against your skin if you're open to it.

Speaker B:

It's like I've never felt breeze like that one.

Speaker A:

You practice A and B, C, D, E and F come to you and you never would have thought about.

Speaker D:

And here's the thing.

Speaker D:

This is a technical term.

Speaker D:

This isn't just woo, woo.

Speaker D:

That's my technical term there.

Speaker D:

All you science minded people, there's science behind this, you know, and, and she explained it.

Speaker D:

I'm not even going to try to restate what she told me, but there she explained how it all works in my body and etc.

Speaker D:

I mean it.

Speaker D:

There's science behind it besides it just being cool.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker D:

To being great to be outside in the sun and enjoying life.

Speaker D:

Right.

Speaker D:

Taking a breath without.

Speaker D:

Let me say something that's going to throw people off without your phone.

Speaker B:

Oh yeah, absolutely.

Speaker A:

Hello?

Speaker D:

Can you do it?

Speaker A:

People just did a meme, didn't I?

Speaker A:

Yeah, I just put that out there.

Speaker A:

All right.

Speaker A:

So yeah.

Speaker A:

So you know, this is all good stuff.

Speaker A:

And it's just like the Rev said, it's just the tip of an iceberg.

Speaker A:

All right.

Speaker A:

I mean there are so much depth to all this that we're mining at, you know, at the top part.

Speaker A:

And I think we've hit some really good.

Speaker B:

I'm hearing for the first time in my head right now, Here comes the sun and I say it's all right.

Speaker D:

Yeah, yeah.

Speaker A:

Oh boy.

Speaker A:

We gotta end with that.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker A:

We're gonna go out with the Beatles on our.

Speaker A:

In our.

Speaker A:

On our mind and on our lips.

Speaker A:

All right.

Speaker A:

Here we go.

Speaker D:

Yeah.

Speaker D:

Please insert that little clip.

Speaker A:

I will.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker D:

That music.

Speaker D:

Here Comes the Sun.

Speaker A:

We need it in there.

Speaker A:

All right.

Speaker A:

I can probably put that in in in the final rendition.

Speaker A:

But as always, what do we need to do?

Speaker A:

We need to challenge you.

Speaker A:

So your ongoing mission, should you choose to accept it.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker A:

Is number one, decide to think differently.

Speaker A:

That's where it's got to start.

Speaker D:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker A:

Gotta have a change in thinking.

Speaker A:

Once you do that.

Speaker A:

You gotta find some people that are willing to do the same thing.

Speaker A:

Aha.

Speaker D:

They're out there.

Speaker A:

They are.

Speaker A:

There are mad monks everywhere.

Speaker A:

That's right.

Speaker A:

Not quite right, this, but okay, I'll go with that.

Speaker B:

You are special.

Speaker D:

There's Revs out there.

Speaker D:

Go find a Rev.

Speaker B:

Go find a coach.

Speaker A:

Then strap on the armor.

Speaker A:

And again, that.

Speaker A:

You know, that's a.

Speaker A:

That's a grounding.

Speaker A:

That's a thing that you need to be.

Speaker A:

We need to be confident in and grounded in because we've done the work, we've opened oursel up and we feel confident, but not to the point where we're white knuckled about it, right?

Speaker A:

Then we storm the gates, right?

Speaker A:

We storm those gates that are closed, that are locked, that.

Speaker A:

That are holding us back, that are holding others back, that we can help as an example and an encouragement, right?

Speaker A:

We've got to break free of some of the.

Speaker A:

As Revlon used to say, what stink.

Speaker A:

Thinking, thinking, thinking.

Speaker A:

Right?

Speaker A:

And lastly, once you do all this, you put all this stuff together, right?

Speaker A:

You.

Speaker A:

You know, you cobble it together, and.

Speaker D:

Now you're ready to unleash the unthinkable.

Speaker A:

Hello.

Speaker A:

Hello.

Speaker A:

And I think that's what we've done this whole episode, hopefully that we've unleashed some things that have been maybe unthinkable in your realm up to this point.

Speaker A:

If that's what we done, mission accomplished, gentlemen.

Speaker A:

Yes.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker A:

Because that's what we do, why we do what we do.

Speaker A:

And it helps stimulate us as well as we hope it stimulates you.

Speaker A:

So thanks for listening, guys, as always, so good.

Speaker A:

Mike, Coke, always a pleasure and honor.

Speaker A:

You know, it's been fun.

Speaker A:

Speaker A:

We hope you get again, we hope you get value from it.

Speaker A:

So go back, listen to session one one, episode one of this topic.

Speaker A:

Enjoy it.

Speaker A:

Give us some feedback.

Speaker A:

But we hope you put some wheels.

Speaker B:

On and you be episode three.

Speaker B:

You write in.

Speaker B:

Let us know how episode three is working in your life.

Speaker A:

Yeah, absolutely.

Speaker A:

That's a good thing.

Speaker A:

I'd love to hear that.

Speaker A:

All right, so again, thanks.

Speaker A:

Have a great week, and we'll see you on the flip side.

Speaker A:

Take care.
